We are Arancha Garrido and Jesús Caamaño, creators of Toxogel.

The story of Toxogel began with an unfortunate traffic accident that would change Jesús’ life forever.

The aftermath was devastating: multiple fractures, eight surgical operations and a long, painful and traumatic recovery. For months, Jesus lived under the effects of heavy medication to alleviate physical and emotional suffering. However, the burden of medication also took its toll, limiting his quality of life and his desire to move forward.

In the midst of this challenge, Jesús and his family decided to take a trip to our homeland, Galicia, a place full of memories and ancestral wisdom.

During a conversation with local neighbors, a relative mentioned a traditional practice that had been used for generations to treat pain and inflammation: poultices of TOJO, a wild plant commonly known as toxo.

Intrigued by this natural solution, we began to research more about this plant. This information led us to have conversations with different laboratories.

With this vision in mind, we contacted a specialized laboratory to conduct a technical study of TOXO. Their analysis indicated that gorse had anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that had been used for centuries by our ancestors.

We wanted to scientifically confirm its properties and develop a formula that kept its natural benefits intact. After months of analysis and testing, we managed to come up with a unique composition that enhanced the active principles of the plant, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

It was then that an idea was born:What if he could combine that traditional wisdom with the advances of modern science to create something that would help not only him but many other people?

Thus Toxogel was born, the fruit of Jesus’ resilience, the wisdom of ancestral traditions and collaboration with experts in science. It became not only a relief for Jesus, but a way to give back to society what we had learned: that even in the most difficult times, the union of tradition and science can offer extraordinary solutions.

Today, Toxogel is much more than a product.

It is the result of a personal struggle and a tribute to nature and innovation.
